AML & KYC Policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
We don’t allow cs2.casino to be used for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud or getting around sanctions. This policy sets out how we check who our players are (know your customer, KYC), how we watch for suspicious activity and what we do when we find it. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Who can hold an account
- Adults aged 18 or over, or the age of majority where they live if higher, with one account each.
- People who are not on a sanctions list and don’t live in a country we have restricted.
- People playing for themselves, with their own money and items.
2. Verifying your identity
We take a risk-based approach. We may ask you to verify your account at any time, and in particular:
- before a large withdrawal, or once your total deposits or withdrawals pass a threshold;
- when your activity doesn’t fit your account’s history, or your details don’t match;
- when we suspect more than one account belongs to the same person;
- when the law or our licence requires it.
Depending on the case, we may ask for:
- a valid government photo ID (passport, national ID card or driving licence);
- proof of address dated within the last three months (a utility bill or bank statement);
- a selfie holding your ID, or a short live check;
- proof that you control the wallet you deposit from or withdraw to;
- proof of the source of your funds or wealth, such as payslips, bank statements or exchange records.
Documents must be clear, complete, current and unaltered. Until checks are done we may hold withdrawals or limit the account. Documents are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Deposits and withdrawals
- Deposits must be wagered a set number of times before they can be withdrawn, so the site can’t be used to pass money straight through.
- Withdrawals above the automatic limit, and any that look unusual, are reviewed by a person before they are sent.
- We may screen deposit and withdrawal addresses against sanctions lists and public blockchain data.
- Skin deposits are credited only after Steam’s trade hold and trade protection end. Items reported stolen, or trades that are reversed, lose their coins.
4. What we watch for
- Large or rapid deposits and withdrawals with little real play.
- Several accounts sharing devices, IP addresses, wallets or Steam accounts.
- Deliberately losing to another player to move value between accounts in player-versus-player games.
- Funds from mixers, darknet markets, sanctioned addresses or other high-risk sources.
- Splitting transactions to stay under limits.
5. What we may do
If we have concerns, we may ask for more information, delay or refuse a transaction, freeze a balance, return funds to where they came from, close the account, and report the activity to the competent authorities. The law may forbid us from telling you that a report has been made.
6. Records
We keep identification and transaction records for at least five years after an account closes, or longer if the law or an investigation requires it.
7. Our people and this policy
Staff who handle payments and accounts are trained on this policy, and a named person is responsible for compliance. We review the policy at least once a year and whenever the rules change.
